Denny's a good guess, since he played in Milwaukee last season,
three years after leaving Nashville. However, he was never re-signed
by the Predators.

No, the answers are D Richard Brennan and F Reid Simpson. And
they're both difficult to overlook. Brennan was originally signed as
a free-agent by Nashville on Sep23/99, but then claimed in the
waiver draft by Los Angeles on Sep27/99. He was signed again by
Nashville on Aug08/01 (then traded back to L.A. on Dec18/01).

Simpson was originally claimed by Nashville off waivers from
Montreal on Jan30/02. He was released following the 2001/02 season.
No NHL team picked him up before the beginning of the next season,
so he started the year in Milwaukee. Nashville finally re-signed him
on Dec02/02. (Then released him again after 2002/03.)

There you go...

I'm a big fan of Jan Lasak, but agree that he's not quite ready yet, even as a backup. (I still think he'll become an NHL starter before Brian Finley does.)...

Was at the game Saturday. They put Mason in at the start of the second period. I don't know if he was just having a good night, or if this is to be expected...
