>> Nashville, Tenn. (June 27, 2003) – Nashville Predators Executive
Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the
club has acquired a third-round selection in the 2004 NHL Entry
Draft from the Buffalo Sabres for defenseman Andy Delmore.
>> "We have made the decision that our defense is an area we need to
rebuild," said Poile. "Andy has had two productive seasons in
Nashville, but we we will start the rebuilding process from within
with some of our young and promising prospects.
>> "Mark Eaton, who we just re-signed, has earned a spot," added
Poile. "Tomas Kloucek, another player we recently signed, will be
given an opportunity to make our club, and several other young
prospects, like Dan Hamhuis, Robert Schnabel, Curtis Murphy and
Andrew Hutchinson, will be in the mix." <<
Wow! I'm not too surprised that we traded Delmore, but I'm very
surprised about how little we got in return...
