Why are the season tix falling each year for the Predators?
1)They're not winning and this is still football country. The folks
around here don't understand that it takes a while to build a team.
It's bad enough that you have to explain it to the editors of the
newspaper and they don't understand.
2) There's a recession and businesses have cut back on their
purchases.
3) It's a pretty expensive ticket for a pretty long season.
What are they doing to turn around the ticket issues?
They've offered the playoff guarantee with a refund of the recent
price increase if they don't make it. They're building a winner.
Why did such a major player in bringing the franchise to Nashville
(Gaylord Corporation) bail on the franchise.
The earlier post had it right. It had nothing to do with the
Predators but with Gaylord changing their company goals. Gaylord sold
other assets in Nashville also.
What's happening?
It's a recession. With a team in its fifth year not yet in the
playoffs. In an area obsessed with football (where you can draft a
player (Jevon Kearse as example) who can make a difference first
year. And Tennesseans are not very patient.
