The 6th Annual Everyone Rides Charity event will be held at Buckingham Park in
Lehigh Acres on November 1st 2009.  There will be routes of 15, 30, 62 and 100
miles.  The event is fully sagged and swagged and all of the proceeds go to buy
bicycles for kids through the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lee County.  In addition,
everyone who raises $500.00 in donations will receive a free pair of Oakley
Radar sunglasses.  You can find the event on Facebook, Active.com or at

In other news, local area triathlete Dan McDonald is having the most incredible
year of his life. He recently had the opportunity to have run in this year's
Boston Marathon as a training for his forthcoming Ironman Florida race, but most
recently had his name pulled in a lottery for this year's Ironman triathlon in
Hawaii. Congratulations to Dan for competing in his first ever Boston Marathon
and good luck during his  training for his forthcoming & first ever Ironman
World Championship race in Kona, Hawaii! He is certainly a lucky man indeed!!!

-Great spectating, we will have the slime pits again this year, followed by a cook out.

Location; Willow Run Quarry 9200 Collier Blvd (CR951) at the Superior Stone decorative stone sales yard

-Distance; 1000 yards swimming, 6 miles mountain bike and 3 miles run. Start with a swim, finish with a swim and the run has a couple of short swims imbedded. We have as many teams as individuals.

The clinic will run for 9 consecutive Saturdays starting on January 24th and ending on March 21st. We invite all participants to join the team at the Nautica South Beach Sprint Triathlon in Miami on April 5th to test your new or enhanced skills. the mountain bike and run trails are still in need of work. We will be working the trails this Sat & Sun, Dec 27-28 noon to sunset. If the weather is good we follow up with a swim and a bonfire. The trail work is trimming the overgrowth, moving fallen logs, bridge rebuilding and there may be some new course cut.
Where; Willow Run Quarry 9200 Collier Blvd (CR 951) 2 miles south of I-75 just south of San Marino apartments just north of Crackling Jacks if you are coming north from Rattlesnake Hammock

Sunday Jan 4th is the first 2009 Sand & Stone Triathlon start is at noon. Great spectating, we will have the slime pits again this year, followed by a cook out.

Location; Willow Run Quarry 9200 Collier Blvd (CR951) at the Superior Stone decorative stone sales yard

Distance; 1000 yards swimming, 6 miles mountain bike and 3 miles run. Start with a swim, finish with a swim and the run has a couple of short swims imbedded. We have as many teams as individuals.

This is a training event no fee!
