I have been wanting to see them on the Today Show, too. I couldn't
believe it when I ran into their page on myspace! They post the today

They say that their competitive days are over, but you never know,
maybe they will venture back into that territory later on. I would
love to see them in competition since I've missed seeing them so much.
Ice dance for me has not been the same and has even been lacking. L/T
has such grace, flow, style, and creativity that are different from
other teams. Their interpretation is usually so musically satisfying.
I feel that we have not seen them in their peak in competition yet,
and it would be a treat to see that happen. And congrats to Naomi and
Mark on their engagement!

I may have been just imagining (and I don't have it on tape to pause
and see), but the female skater at the beginning of the recent
Allstate ad reminded me of Naomi.  It's the commercial where the
couple watches the skaters (the ones I think could be Naomi and Peter)
and then go out to a skating pond and try to do some figure skating of
their own;  the man crashes into a building, sending a sheet of ice
and snow down onto their car, totaling it.

Just wondered if anyone else had seen it and thought the same (or was
sure it wasn't them).

Well Naomi had a baby last year and Peter briefly teamed up with Shae-
Lynn Bourne. Then there were rumours that L/T would return to competing
but it didn't happen, but they have skated in a few shows in the last
few months. Hopefully they will get booked to do more soon! :) Peter is
now coaching the Canadian pairs team Putnam/Wirtz and he has also done
choreography for quite a few skaters over the last 2 seasons.

i saw them quitting on tv, i haven't seen much skating in a bit,
except stars on ice and the different shows like that, or stuff with
alexei yagudin and ina and zimmerman. i was looking naomi and peter up
online today and i saw their site back and that they have dates.  did
they get back together again after a few years or something?  thanks

I've known Naomi and her family almost forever.  High school with
Leslie, Danny's little league baseball coach in Allegan, and a big fan
of Naomi's skating career.  Everyone here in Allegan is so proud of
you and all you have accomplished.  Best of luck in your future
competitions and congratulations on the new addition to the family.  I
get my first grandson this next March so I know your mother is excited
with your little addition.  Bob

will replace Nicole Bobek in (not sure exact name) earth, wind, and
fire skating show this saturday in Connecticut! And it will be aired
on TV December 17!!!! Yay, we get to see Naomi and Peter again!!!!!

OMG, icegirl, Naomi is ur head coach?!?! Unbelievable! I
looooovvvvvvveeeeeee Lang&Tchernyshev! Please tell them that! It seems
as if they don't know that so many people have missed them, want them
to come back, or am excited about seeing them on the ice together
again!
I can't imagine what it's like to have Naomi as a head coach! How is
it like? What level are you? How is her teaching like? Does Peter come
too? Hopefully we'll see you and ur partner on TV soon and can root
for you all! ;)
Do LT read their fan mail? I, my family, and friends so enjoy LT's
skating. They have such grace and style that I think is different from
other teams, I don't know why! It's just that when I watch them, their
expressions seem appropriate for the song and very natural and
flowing. We were so excited when we thought they were going to make a
comeback for the Olympic year when they were slated for Skate America.
But then things became ambiguous and vague. For all I know, I don't
care where LT places in the Olympics anymore, I miss their skating
that badly! I just wish they'd do comps so we'd get to see them in
that exciting atmosphere again and who knows perhaps they'd be able to
go to the Olympics! If they do comeback, dance will be more
interesting and exciting for me again. But as for right now, I have to
be satisfied with seeing pics of them in shows :). Wonder if they'll
be doing any holiday shows like Brian Boitano, Holiday on Ice, etc..
so we can see them on TV? Or are they even thinking about COI or SOI?

Hi everyone :) I've seen some photos from the show linked on FSU and
also the Alexei Yagudin Discussion Group & there are some of Naomi and
Peter performing their exhibition programme. (I won't put links here as
i think its people's private photo albums.) It sounds like the show was
filmed, so hopefully it will be televised somewhere! I'd love to see
Naomi and Peter's programme.
