There will be a steel longsword tournament held by the International
Armoured Combat League at The Connecticut Renaissance Faire in
Hebron,Ct. on Saturday October 7th.

Styles of competition to be held at this tournament-

Duel: Victory-Strike opponent on head or torso or two strikes to any
limb. Double hits are counted as double kills. First combatant to
be defeated in two bouts will lose the round.

10 Strikes: Attacker gets 10 swings to hit the defender; the
defender may only defend. Then the roles are reversed. The
combatant with the most successful strikes wins.

Hero pit: The combatants line up and the first two enter the list (a
12 ft. circle). A single bout is fought using duel rules with the
additional rule that if one foot is stepped out of the circle, it is
counted as one limb hit, whereas both feet out of the circle will
result in a loss. The winner of that bout stays in the circle and
the loser returns to the end of the line. This continues untill
each combatant has fought at least 3 bouts. Each win is 1 point, at
the end, the combatant with the most points wins.
