Tournaments May 13th and 14th in Haverhill, MA - UPDATE   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #44 of 72 |
Saturdays tournaments will take place rain or shine! We will have arming
tents set up and we will be able to hold the tourneys under a large
pavillion. The tents are big enough for the competitions and spectators!

Competitors please try and get to the event site an hour before your first
tourney starts. Everyone will have to sign a waiver and an image release
form, plus do an on camera interview. Oh yeah, we’re going high tech baby!

The prizes are all lined up! They have been graciously donated by Silvermane
limited (www.silvermane.com) and Foxwoods Casino. Winners of each tourney
will get a prize, plus there will be a comptitor vote for “Most Chivalrous
Competitor” and a crowd vote for “Favorite Combattant”. All awards will be
given out at the end of the day Saturday.

Saturday evening we’ll be heading out to a great local Irish pub for an
informal dinner. Everyone is invited!

Unfortunatly for Sunday we have had to cancell the equestrian tourneys. It’s
with a heavy heart that we do it, but the lack of comptitors and very
possible poor footing just doesn’t make it feasable this year. Hopefully we
can cheerlead interested parties and next year will be a full blown Joust
Tournament!!

Instead we will be doing sword/ dagger and wrestling demos all day long!

Remember, entrace fees for a tourney is $20 at the door. That gets you in
and a Squire! That would be $16 just for spectating. $4 extra and you get to
compete for great prizes! So if you are coming up, drop the $$, fight in out
padded longsword tourney (starts at 10am, weapons provided, no armour
required and ages 15 and up can compete) then hang out at the fair for the
rest of the day!

Also remember that competitors and helpers are able to sleep at the castle
Friday night and Saturday! It’s communal living so don’t expect a private
room and bring a sleeping bag. The floor is the place to stay! J

Hope to see you there!
