I am keeping in mind that the Evolution VIII is still
better than most cars available to us in the US, but
its kind of insulting that mitsubishi took away teh
bes parts of the car that made the look bearable. The
acclaimed Active Yaw Control is gone by way of a
viscuous grip LSD and the much praised 6 speed
transmission avaiable to the forthcoming Japanese
version will also be absent. Why buy this car when I
could import an older model from japan for so much
less? I do not mind the steering wheel position at all.

HI FROM MYEVO,
THE EVO VII PRODUCTION HAVE FINISHED,
but there will be some cars in Switzerland, take a look at www.mitsubishi.ch
the price is 62000 CHF.
As the USD is going down, the price is probably a bit high.
However. the Evo VIII is a good car too, maybe the look is not very
professional.
The real think is anyway the evo VI. There is still a few used cars used or
maybe new available.
Greetings, Antonio

I actually thought mitsubishi was going to give us the
EVO VII. I feel really cheated that the closest thing
we can get is the nasty-looking and watered down "EVO
VIII" I was wondering if there was any way to order an
EVO VII extreme from ralliart and have it shipped to
the US. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Dear all
I have found an Evo 2 (supposedly) for sale, however the chasis number and
the year of manufacuter do not tally with the Evo 1-3 Buyers Guide on the
net (http://www.lancerregister.com/mlr-models.html)
ie The chassis number is CD9A(Evo 1) as Evo 2 chassis number is listed as
CE9A, however, the year of manufacture is Jan 1995 (Evo2 date).
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Simon N

Will be called Evo VIII, and it is a detuned version of the japanese
version...about 230-240 HP...with 5mph bumpers , smaller intercooler and
more weight...not the same performance as japanese version...
