Wow!
This race is part of the national rankings program, so all race results have been uploaded into the national database at USA Cycling and allocated towards a national ranking system for all racers. Check it out at:

What a fantastic day of racing! 300+ racers, a US pro cycling legend racing (that would be 9 time TDF finisher, Frankie Andreu), super exciting racing all around, great weather, who could ask for more!!!!
Jeez, you think a criterium set in an office park wouldn't be that challenging a course. However, the Pro 1/2, Cat 3, Cat 4 races were all won from break-aways. The Cat 3 race was incredibly exciting, with team tactics in play, a breakaway, chase groups, solo bridge efforts, riders attacking the breakaway, etc, etc. So much for that predictable ride for 60 minutes and race for 2 laps formula. This was a race worthy of being featured on Versus!!!!
Same could be said for the Cat 4 race, with two guys holding off the field by the slimmest of margins for the final 1 1/2 laps!!!
The Womens 1/2/3 race was animated with solo efforts from Ann Remmers of Team Aberdeen/AAVC, a breakaway of 3, another break of 2 which was swallowed up by the pack with 500 meters to go! Great stuff!!!
If you were there to watch it, you just might have glimpsed the future of Michigan racing, with a SUPER strong showing by the VERY young AAVC Jrs team. Hats off to Mark Lovejoy, Joe Christy and everyone else associated with that program!
We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and thanks for coming out to race!!!
Hope to see you next year!!!
There's still a TON of exciting racing in Michigan coming up, so check out the calendar at www.mbra.org and train hard, cause it's only getting better!!!
Now........"get out and race!"
