2007 Madison, Wisconsin USAC Tuesday Night Practice Criteriums Sche   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #80 of 406 |
In May and June the practice criterium series will be held. These
criteriums present an excellent training opportunity for riders of
all abilities.

General Information:
The criteriums will take place each Tuesday at the University
Research Park in May and June 2007. Sign up and registration opens
at 6:00 PM and closes at 7:00 PM. There are two races a B Race
(beginners, women, cat 4/5, juniors, etc.) at 6:30 PM for about 25
minutes and an A Race at 7:10 PM that is open to all for about 50
minutes. All riders must fill out a release form (good for the race
series), sign in daily, wear their race number, and wear an USCF
legal/approved (ANSI/SNELL) bicycle helmet.

The course is wide and smooth with three 90 degree turns and
slight "S" turns and some modest rises. Kind of a squeezed triangle
shape. One lap is approximately 0.9 miles.

Fees:
All riders participating in the event will pay an entry fee to cover
insurance charges. All additional money collected will go toward the
support of bicycle racing in Dane County. The daily fee is $5 for
USCF Licensed riders. One-day USCF Licenses are $5 and Annual USCF
Licenses are $60 and both are available on site. B Race riders that
help corner guard for the A Race will get their $5 entry fee back. A
Race riders are expected to help corner guard for the B Race. Sign
up for your turn at registration. We all must help out in order that
these practice criteriums can be held. Without the help the practice
criteriums can not and will not be held. Thank you in advance for
your support.

Location:

The University Research Park is located on the west side of Madison,
Wisconsin.
From I-90/94 on the southeast side of Madison take the beltline (Hwy
12/18) west. Go past the Hwy 151/Verona Road exit to the Whitney Way
exit, about one mile, and exit north (right) onto Whitney Way. Take
Whitney Way north to Odana Road (at the stoplights) and turn left
(west) onto Odana Road. About half a mile then turn right (north)
onto Research Park Dr. and go to registration. Parking available on
the road
just before (west of) Rosa Road. and Research Park Drive
Registration at Research Park Drive and Rosa Road (northwest corner).
