Mike Hanley our Regional Rep was fired from USAC today. The information we have
been
able to get, is that it was over a small matter that should have been handled
more
professionally by USAC. I have not talked to Mike so I don't know any details.

Mike has been instrumental in helping us build the racing program we now enjoy.
Many of
you out there remember the dark days of local racing before he came on board. He
has
been at the forefront of helping to rebuild a trusting relationship with USAC,
especially
after the 2003 Masters Nationals debacle.

When I was out in Colorado in the fall, the staff there kept stressing to us
that we are their
"customers" and they were working on their "customer support". Looks like we
got fooled
again. I resigned today from the IN/KY Local Association, a group that Mike
nudged us
into forming because he thought we might benefit. I do not see a benefit if he
is not
around to have our back on this venture.

I urge you as "customers" to express your displeasure and ask for his
reinstatement.
