We had another successful race, this time at Stephens Park last Sunday!  First, I would like to thank all of the racers that came to participate and make this race a fun event.  It was a beautiful day starting at 56 degrees that rose to 66 by race end, and, we had a steady SSW wind at 12mph all day.  There were 56 racers (counting the kids race) that competed on the new course…that seemed to go over well with everyone.  I have pictures loaded here… http://www.flickr.com/photos/20318801@N06/sets/72157603144506737/ and, if anybody took pictures of the race that would like to share, please send them to me and I will add them to this album.  I had some great volunteers that I must recognize for all of their hard work, which made this event run smoothly!  For course work and set-up, we had Mike, Casey, and Jordan Zugmaier, Kim Sheetz and Julie Wilt along with the Moline Parks Department.  For registration, we had my girlfriend Lisa Wessling and Terry Burke.  Course teardown was Scot and Karen Schaar, John Olney, John Meehan, Kim Sheetz and Mike and Jordan Zugmaier.  Our awesome official was the one and only Scott Swanson.  Our sponsors were The Quad Cities Bicycle Club, Healthy Habits, Donnie’s Indoor Cycling Experience, and the DICE Team.  Special thanks goes out to Zuggy and Lisa who went above and beyond in helping me get this thing together…Thanks you two!!  And, again I would like to thank all of the participants who showed up for a great day of racing!!
