Hi Everyone,
The game last night was a hard fought one. Seattle would not go
away. It was an intense game with a lot of fouls being called on both
sides, mostly on Seattle though. LA played a good all-around game,
with Mwadi making big clutch put backs and mid-rangers...
Having watched LA, I think that whenever she plays well, the Sparks
win period. She to me is probably the top two guard in the league.
LA has great inside play, and so I always like how Mwadi in
particular lets her game come to her. I never really seen her force
anything, and she creates lots of eazy points for the post on those
mid-rangers she takes.
Morever, LA as a team is very mentally stong team and has great
leadership. Leslie keeps them all together but from the outside
looking in, it looks like Mwadi, quietly has a very calming influence
on these team as well.
Oh, as for Seatlle, I think Bird in particular is overrated. She
doesn't really create and she is not quick enough to drive. Her
jumper, is not really there either.
Lauren, she is a tough player, but NOT MVP. LA didn't really stop
her as she shoots like crazy, I think she put up 18 shots tonight.
Also, I don't think she doesn't like contact, as Leslie took her out
her game tonight with a little toughness.
Betty, I think she has the skills, but the players are not really
working around or with her. Hince, it looks like she tries to take
over the game, but that's only cause she has to. Moreover, last
night, she was off. Mostly because of the great D, played on her by
Dixon.
I was most impressed by Sam, as she does have the skills, plays
really hard, and is not intimated. But, las night Teasley and
Milton, really defensed her execently. She actually started hot but
the Sparks stepped up their intensity and eventually shut her down.
Overall a good, not great game as far as astetics but was fun!
Please share your comments on my post as I have season tickets and
have quickly become an avid fan. Would love to her from any others!
