Re: [msctt] Re: [icc_tabletennis] Test your rackets on Enez device for VOC at ICC
We had tested five rackets yesterday and 2 failed. One had used waterbased glue on some old rubbers but it failed. Two of them had used illegal glue but long time back and it passed.
The best answer is test your racket today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks

HI Rajul,
If I use speed glue before on my paddle and now I use water based glue, will the device detect any old glue that I used. Please advise.
Can someone explain "Air it for 72 hours"? Air the old rubber and old paddle or air the new rubbers too?
Thanks, Danny
Attached below is from ITTF:
ADVICE TO PLAYERS:
Do not add anything to you racket.
If you suspect the presence of VOCs in your racket covering air it for 72 hours out of the packaging before using (and remove the protective plastic sheet if any).
Use only water-based glues or VOC-free Pressure Sensitive Adhesive sheets (PSA).
Only clean your racket with water, do not use any other substances.
Adding natural substances such as oils, etc., is illegal and shall be detected.
Do not stretch your rubber; you must use the racket covering as it has been approved by the ITTF and as it comes from the producer.
Be very careful with the thickness level of your racket covering. Make sure you do not exceed 4mm including the layer or layers of glue. You should use a thin layer of glue to avoid exceeding the thickness limit. Make sure the surface is flat and does not bulge.
Sometimes the racket covering is too thick from the factory. It is your responsibility not to use it.

Hi! All
We are going to test the rackets with ITTF approved Enez device in upcoming ICC California State Open tournament at ICC. It will also be tested at U.S. Open tournament at Las Vegas.
There are lot of questions on what racket will pass from Enez device to play the tournament ? If you are not sure about your racket don't take chance on tournament day. If your racket don't pass you won't be allowed to play with that racket.
We will provide Racket testing service at ICC from today till Thursday with charges of $5 to member and $7 to nonmembers.
