The Moose Regatta has our own insurance policy as you stated. We pay the MOWIND insurance dues as a courtesy to help other Race directors keep there rates lower. We will continue to do this payment to MOWIND in recognition of being a MOWIND point event. And, as kiting is an issue with MOWIND insurance, the Moose Regatta will not promote kiting at our event, or have kiters in, or around the designated race course.

 

I was on the trophy committee last year and I don't know why we never got the ball rolling on that. Thanks for bailing us out with the cool key chains which by the way I use everyday (bottle opener! haha). Having a "start" time would be a good idea.

 

I would be willing to help out or manage the scoring for the '09 season. I can do this work remotely quite easily.

 

I think with regards to the raffle, we need to make sure we unload the item we are raffling the year we have the raffle or people will be reluctant to purchase tickets if we may be giving the item(s) away every second year or until we sell enough tickets to cover the cost of the item. I think a 'sponsor' committee should be formed to get some swag for MOWIND to be raffled off on a yearly basis.
