Buxton. it was a bit expensive, about $95/night. Typical for rooms
there, but there are also wonderful properties for about $950/week,
for a 4-bedroom condo on the lagoon! We p[lan to do that next time
with a group.

It was only about 2 miles from "Canadian Hole", which was the most
wonderful place we've been! Small, not crowded, and ...wonderful. One
advice we heard about Hatteras, was to take everything you have,
because you will always have fun, but you don't know what it will be
- walking, swimming, windsurfing, surfing, sunning, etc. Weather
there can vary a lot, depends on the local patterns blowing through.

Call any realty in the Windsurf magazines, or search online.

We had a few very windy days, I rented a small (4.5m) sail, but then
the storm from passed and we went on big and long boards - almost no wind!

Best,
Greg

Stefan, one thing I forgot to mention is that there are shops in Avon where you can rent equipment too, if you don't want to depend on your formula boards....
