I went to the Midwinters and it was the first outing with my new bride, Inci.  She had never seen anyone windsurf before so it quite an introduction to our great sport.  She enjoyed the experience and we're still together but I won't be teaching her to windsurf in the near future.  She learned alot about photography from the two-man team the covered the Midwinters.  Rudy and Jon McCormick did a great job of taking pictures of all the races and the gallery on their site of the freestyle stuff by the pros from the 17th annual Midwinters features Matt Pritchard and Tonky Franz and the other Bonnaire kids.  That was the year the wind blasted everybody right out of the water on one of the races and my first trip to the Midwinters.  I even have a gallery of my own on their site so I plan to buy some of the pictures of me sailing along with a couple shots of the pros as well.  Everyone interested in the Midwinters should check out the pictures of this year's regatta on the wabsite.  Here it is:
