Woody,
Lots and lots of wind followed by large shifts and 1/2 the wind, followed again by a large shift and a load of wind. Repeated like that all day. I am still recovering....I'll try to post something this weekend.
Lots of carnage around the course - I even managed to hit a committee boat while traveling full speed towards a finish. My fault entirely. Too focused on the finish and not enough on my surroundings.
A big round of applause should go out to the Race Committe and all of the event organizers on this one. A lesser crew would probably not have been able to run more than 1 or 2 races on Saturday, and we were treated to 3 course races and another 3 slalom races, all with a speed event going on at the same time. Excellent job- they did a better job handling the conditions than most of the racers did, which is rarely the case.
Later,
Arden

So what happened? How about a play-by-play Arden. Looking at the
results from Race 4 it looks like only 6 started the race. What the
heck happened there? Too windy?
Stories for us who couldn't make the regatta please!!
