Hey, Woody - that weather you sent us was rather wicked! We had a
caravan going with Bonnie, Kristy and me in front, then Kevin,
followed by two more vehicles with his brothers. Three of the
vehicles had trailers. We elected to avoid the northern route Friday
night due to the snow forecast. Little did we know that the snow was
going to penetrate a lot farther south than expected - at 4:00am in
West Virginia we had a white out in the mountains - ice covered with
snow (no salt or plows) made it almost impossible for cars & trucks to
move, especially up the mountains. We survived long enough to get to
a rest area and wait out the storm. Mike and Sherry elected to stay
in Wisconsin an extra day, though I'm sure they are getting the same
tonight!
On the bright side, 15-25mph all day today and everyone that didn't
mind the 40 degree air had a great time on the water. And yes, even
Bonnie and Kristy spent the day on the water.
