Joe,
The photos are awesome. I almost feel like I was there. By the way,
I noticed a guy in black and white ahead of me as I exited the water.
Who is that guy?

The Thursday night Masters has taken hold. Last night the pool was filled with two per lane. I hope everyone is getting something out of it. FYI, we are now in a technique/workout mode. The total yards range from 1600 to 2400 with drills integrated into a typical swim workout. If you can't make it in the morning, the evening class will offer the yardage.
With some exceptions, I will analyze your stroke as you perform a typical workout. If don't get any feedback on a particular night, that is a good thing. That means the drills are taking hold of your stroke. I will still be working more intensly with some of you, but my goal is to put
myself out of business. Once you are all "fish", I will get my butt in the water with you.
Becky,
It's great to see your progress. Again, great ride on Saturday.
Agree with your "take it easy on the knee" approach. Hope to see you
at spin in the morning.

so far the knee is okay. I will try to make it to the run on
Tues, but think I will take it easy so as not to inflame the knee too
close to the Sprint. In my mind, on Sunday I was shooting for the

All,
Looks like some of us are planning on doing the San Clemente
Breakaway Ride on Saturday May 20th. There are two distance options:
41 and 73 miles.
Depending on the number of club members planning on riding, we'll
ramp up our riding distance before then, so that the 41 mile option
should be readily attainable by all.
On our Saturday morning long rides, we are presently riding 2:00
hours, so if we gradually add 10 minutes per week to our rides, we
will be at two-hour 40 minute rides prior to the event. As this
event is NOT A RACE, that should make the 41 mile ride little more
than a Saturday Long Ride.
Some may elect to do the 73 mile ride, and our Saturday Morning Long
Rides will still be good base mileage.

All,
Billy's instruction has definitely improved my swim stroke. We are
fortunate to have him coach these workouts. Thanks, Billy for
sacrificing your pool time to make us better swimmers.
Although the pool was full on Thursday night, Billy assures me that
he'll find a way to accomodate additional swimmers for future
Thursday night sessions. Next week, bring a friend!

I've been on the mailing list since the tri-clubs inception. Yet
I've never come to a work-out...many "reasons" (ie. excuses) I have
procrastinated to the n-th degree and am now hesitant to join in the
work-outs.
I was in the gym last week and saw a flyer about the Tri-Club...Is it
too far into the "training" for me to join in? I have always wanted
to do a triathalon...in fact "some day" I'd love to compete in an Iron-
man.

Good Swimmer, "Pretty Good" distance runner, haven't been on a bicycle
(sans spinning) since I was 12!
Bill's instruction concerning fast then steady splits will get us read for that 400m swim in May.

I will still be working more intensly with some of you, but my goal is to put myself out of business. Once you are all "fish", I will get my butt in the water with you.
Wendi,
No, you didn't miss at all. I just noticed that the members link is
back on again - thanks, Dan.

Have a great time this weekend everyone. I'm looking forward to jumping back into it after next week and the trip to DC wears off.

The Thursday night Masters has taken hold. Last night the pool was

With some exceptions, I will analyze your stroke as you perform a
typical workout. If don't get any feedback on a particular night,
that is a good thing. That means the drills are taking hold of your
stroke. I will still be working more intensly with some of you, but
my goal is to put myself out of business. Once you are all "fish", I
will get my butt in the water with you.

Robert,
I have sent out a couple of E-mails on this account. Have you received
them? Just want to know if I am in the system?

Sorry about the spelling error on MoTTino. How many times have I passed
the signs and still didn't realize there are 2 t's in the name of our
club. Thanks, Joe T. for catching that. It's been corectected...I mean
corrected.
