Hi Everyone,

Will you please give another warm welcome to Annastasia Winters as she
joined the club this morning before doing a masters workout. Tonight she,
her husband Trevor and I went to get them both bikes! Annastasia is excited
as she will be doing Jamba Juice Sprint and this will be her first tri.

You know Colt, and he will appreciate any cards, funnies, pictures,

Colt said he will let us know what items he finds that he needs
and/or useful to receive. He did purchase quite a few books with
orders for Clint and I to send a couple a month :)

His address is as follows....needs to be as shown below:

2nd Lt. Nichols, Colt Carter
1 MLG HQ
2nd Platoon
Unit 42175
FPO AP 96426-2175

Colt's email we have been told is the same he used on base. It is:
colt.nichols@usmc.mil

The above note was from his mother, and as she requested, please
take a moment when you think of Colt to send him a quick note.
Having gotten to know him this past season, I know any contact will
be greatly appreciated. Also, it might be thoughtful for anyone that
hears something back from Colt to post an update to the group.

Folks, this is a young man that is doing what he does so that we can
live (and train) in peace here in North County. My hope is that
through constant communication, Colt will know how much we support
him. We are now 30+ strong as a group, and with about 30 days in
each month, there is no reason for him to go a day without hearing
from at least one of us. That's right, it only takes one email or
note a month from each member to keep him in the loop. You will get
extra credit for sending more ;-)

So, please, make it a priority to include Colt in your regular
prayers and drop him a note when you can.

Thanks for forwarding this on to us.  I was just thinking about Colt this morning, wondering how we could get a hold of him.  This is great!  I'm planning to put in on our desk calendar once a week, so that we don't forget (however, I think I'll let Brian do the writing as he is "the funny one".)

I am no graphic arts expert, but from what I was told, the vector file, (.ai) allows the artwork to be made into any size without destroying the image or "pixelating" it.
Thanks for your work on this!

So far I have only received artwork from two sponsors. If you were
responsible for getting a sponsor they must supply us with
their "vector" format artwork ASAP. Do barrage me with questions about
what "vector" format is because I have no idea. If the sponsor has
questions, they should talk to the people who developed their artwork
for them and then get the appropriate files to us. Jersey's arrive
this week for us to try sizes so I am thinking I will set up a time,
maybe the nutrition clinic - for everyone to try on and decide. At
this point we have missed the 9/18 production window so the run date is
slipping on the jerseys.

Thanks Gina. Actually I have only done one 70.3, I was injured this year so missed the Ford. I have done the carlsbad for the last 7 years and a few olympic distances as well as some  individual running and swimming events. I am not very fast but love the sport and the friends I have made along the way. Thanks to Robert I was introduced to this site last week. I have not done any events this year do to a bad ankle sprain a month before the Ford 70.3 bummer $200.00 down the drain. I have been living in Mexico for the last 5 months but am back and looking forward to trainning with everyone and doing some events. Right now I am considering the super frog in september. Look forward to seeing my old friends and making some new ones.

Hey guys - I had the good fortune to run across some new bike stuff I am willing to sell.  I have 7 bikes and 2 sets of race wheels. 2 black Specialized Robaix, 2 Specialized transition (1 black 1 silver), 2 Rockhoppers 1 small 1 medium (1 silver, M, 1 black S). Race wheels 202's and 404's. Highest bidder gets it all - small, non sequential used bills only.

Well the dreaded has happened... garage broken into...7 bikes and 2
sets of race wheels stolen last night. 2 black Specialized Robaix, 2
Specialized transition (1 black 1 silver), 2 Rockhoppers 1 small 1
medium (1 silver, M, 1 black S). Race wheels 202's and 404's. Even
Pats nice helmet and running shoes were taken. They left all our old

Hi Mary Lou, Ted, Maggie, Becky, Heather, Melinda, Jannee, Peggy, Jet, Joe,
Robert, Billy (I hope I didn't forget anyone),

As I'm writing this, many of you have probably completed or finishing up the
tri. I'm so proud of you : ) So was it sprinkling on you all? I look
forward to hearing of your experiences! Sorry I wasn't there but I woke
with an extreme headache (I've had heat stroke before and these past few
weeks I've been susceptible to them). So I said a pray and sent positive,
warm, fuzzy vibes your way!

I've talked myself into it (figure I'll do my long <flat> ride
Monday as I've got the day off.) So, just in case anyone wants to
join and/or meet me, I'll be leaving home at 5:30 and will meet up
with some folks at Kit Carson Park at 7.

I figure we'll hit Lake Wohlford just before 8, and the bottom of
the mountain by 9.

That way we'll make it up just in time for it to start getting
hot ;) Seriously, it should be a good ride - hope to see some of
you guys out there.

Not sure what the planned ride is tomorrow AM, but just in case anyone
is interested, there are a couple folks doing Palomar tomorrow AM - I
was planning on going inland anyway and may join them (Kit Carson
~7am.)

I picked up the tri jerseys from the screen printer this afternoon.
They look great! If you'd like to pick them up from me, call me
either at home or cell (see below) and we can arrange.

I will hopefully attending the tri this Sunday and can bring them.
If I can't attend, I'll send them with Gina.

Just let me know how you plan to get them.

If you don't need them for this week-end, no hurry, I can bring them
to the next meeting too.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: WASH IN COLD WATER ONLY, HANG DRY. THE INK,
BEING PLASTIC/NYLON BASED WILL MELT IN WARM WATER.
