Hey everyone! I'm new to the group. I'm writing an article about how
the Expos MIGHT be moving to DC for my school paper and I've been
looking on the net for information about the Expos and it's
impossible to get my questions answers. I thought it would be easier
to ask fan's, so here I am. If you know of any good sites that could
help me or you know the answers of my questions you would be a huge
help!
1-When did they announce that the expos would be moving? Why?
2-Attandence stats
3-Good players (now and in the past)
4-Ever been to the World Series and won?
5-any other interesting facts...
Thanks ahead of time if you can help!

Though my PC died a few weeks ago, I am still getting updates to the
group in... They might be a day or two behind, but something is
better than nothing :)
Also added some new pictures from spring training....
I live in PA and am a huge Expos fan even though they don't attract the
attention as such teams like the Yanks. They will be competitive this year,
they may not win the division but they might sneak in as a wild card. Vlady
is one of the best, if not the best all around baseball player in the major
leagues and Wilkerson can have a big year if he don't have any injuries or
bad breaks. No matter if they win, lose or move to another city i will always
be a fan of them.

I'm a fan.
I don't go to the games because I live in Iowa.
The team might surprise this year. Maybe make the playoffs. The
Braves pitchers are old. The Mets will fall apart like last season,
but the Expos are a solid ball club.
We lost Bartolo Colon, but we gained El Duque (kind of a downgrade).
But I think the team will improve. They got 2nd place last season.
Look for Vlad and Wilkerson to have big years.

Is there 1 expo fan out there because i know thats all there be is 1
fan if that. Feel sorry for the team. Unfortunetly it will go to a
better place then montreal maybe washington but definetly will be
going somewhere next year or next 2 years whenever they get a
plan... They cant keep playing for 1 fan in the stands they dont
make any money that way. Makes the team look like crap when there is
1 fan. Its ashame that there no real fans. I think all the fans that
come are for the other team. NY METS VS EXPOS most of the fans are
met fans and only there to see the mets. They should just burn the
stadium down and put up a parking lot thats how bad it is....

Just added pictures from the 9/28/02 game against the Cincinnati
Reds to go along with pictures from 5/11/02 (San Francisco Giants)
and 9/29/02 (Reds)...
They can be found at my Expos group at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/montrealexposfanclub/
What I found weird when I was up there is that the little things are
missing... I go to Yankee Stadium and get a coke, the cup comes in a
variety of Yankee designs... even where I live in CT, I go to a AA
team and the team logos are on the cup... when I got a coke at the
Expos game, they came in a generic baseball cup... They really need
to get that logo out there...
The only Expos promotions I saw for 2003 were discount ticket and
hotdog prices...
Though I did win a bobblehead on the last game of the 2002 season :)

we were thinking about going down there and to see the Staten Island

Instead of getting 1 ticket to 20 different games, I was trying to
get 2 tickets to 10 different games. Chances are we're going to
either 6 or 8 Expos games this year, so atleast that way we'd have
fewer left over tickets... but they only allow for 1 ticket per
game, so that was shot :)

Thanks... though I just got email about season tickets from "Expos
Forever" (I put my name down last season about tickets), chances are
I will end up just buying tickets on 3/2 to games I attend through
Admission.com since I can't split up the 20 ticket season plan (2
tickets to 10 games instead of 1 ticket to 20 games)... Only two and
a half months until the real home opener :)
