1- The Expos have never announced that they would be moving. There is
a committee set up by Major League Baseball looking at a "permanent
solution" to the Expos, since the former owner, Jeffrey Loria, sold
the team to the other 29 baseball owners in 2001, in order to buy the
Florida Marlins. They have not yet decided on a permanent solution.
This year, of course, they have played 22 "home" games in Puerto Rico.
2- A good source for Expos attendance is
www.canoe.com/Baseball/attendance.html
3-Best players: Vladimir Guerrero, National League MVP for the month
of August
Jose Vidro, second baseman
Livan Hernandez, pitcher
Best players ever:
Hall of Famer Gary Carter
Andre Dawson
Tim Raines
Dennis Martinez (who pitched a perfect game)
4- The Expos have nevere been to the World Series. They won the
National League East in 1981 but lost to the Dodgers in the NLCS.
In 1994, the Expos were in first place in the National League, when
the season was cancelled due to a strike. The Expos then sold off
their best players and have had attendance problems, bad onwership,
and weak teams ever since.
