Gary and All,

I couldnt have said it better myself. We can always sit back and say what could
have been, and we all know had that monster not done what he done, the tennis
world would have been so much different.

In my opinion Monica Seles will leave the tenis world with her head held high,
nothing left to say, nothing left to prove.

I wish the best to Monica, for she has been a bright star in many of our lives.

Subject: [Monica Seles On-line] Possible retirement for Monica

Hello everyone:

Obviously, we still don't know if Monica officially retired, but I would
have to think that she's called it a career - and a great one at that. She
played an exhibition match against Martina Navratilova and lost to her.
Also, I
believe she played 5 matches at World Team Tennis and didn't win a match.
When has that ever happened to Monica? I feel that Monica was using the Team
Tennis as a barometer of how well she can compete and losing all 5 of her
matches was obviously a quick wakeup call.
Also, when Monica was constantly asked about retirement from the media, she
always said that when the time comes, she will leave the game quietly without
much fanfare.
It appears that's exactly what Monica has done.

In any case, I wish Monica all of the best. She looks absolutely terrific
and again, she's had a great career.

Gary.
