According to other information that I have read (can't remember where though),
Seles has not had surgery on that foot, but has instead been allowing it to heal
in the cast. So I'm guessing the writer made an inaccurate assumption. I mean,
it would make sense to say she was recovering from surgery (like so many ladies
are right now), so he probably didn't even bother to check a source on it.
