I'm not sure about Manningham Council, but I think the City of Monash
doesn't need to install speed humps on many shared paths, certainly
not along the Gardiners creek path, in many place the path *is* speed
humps.
A dream I've had for many years is to find the people responsible for
planning and building (and maintaining?) many of these paths, put them
on the back of the tandem and then hammer their arses to pieces along
these magnificent pieces of bicycle infrastructure.

What, Aussies on bikes behave the same as Aussies in cars and Aussies on foot?
Isn't it wonderful how the papers all like to split people up into
tribes of "pedestrians' vs "cyclists" vs "motorists".
I know that whether on foot, bike, motorbike or in a car, I've met
idiots in cars and on bikes, motorbikes or foot.
