Nipped out at lunch for some quick chores and came home via the
Dandenong rd service lane (marked as a "bicycle route" no less), then
arrived at this joke at the car yard on the corner with Clayton rd.
There's a wide concrete footpath, a sign marking it as a "Shared
Footway" and a sign of a pedestrian and a bicycle, but for the ten
years I've infrequently ridden down here there has *always* been cars
parked blocking access. I happened to have my camera in my pocket so
stopped to take a photo, then got a mouthful from a staff member of
the car yard who told me "Council looked at it and says its ok" I've
called Monash council a couple of times in the past and got nowhere.
Here's the spot from Google Maps, note the two cars blocking the road!

Here's what the "shared footway" looked like today

Can anyone explain how this "shared footway" is meant to be used by
pedestrians, let alone anyone with a pram, wheelchair, shopping buggy
or bicycle?
