Modern technologies provides many possibilities for making sports more fun, and more spectator oriented. No longer must spectators just sit on the sidelines and cheer for their favorites. Today's technologies allows spectators to become part of the play.
For instance, the picture to the right is an RFID chip. About the size of a grain of rice, it can be placed in balls, on players, in other sporting equipment, ... to allow transmitting certain types of information. They cost about $0.20 each. Player heart rate and perspiration factor could easily be transmitted to spectators.
