The home season opener is only a few short weeks away, but this Friday, August 25 you can make the drive to Madison to see the inaugural game of the Minnesota RollerGirls season.

Head to Madison to support members of the Minnesota RollerGirls interleague team in this cross-border battle against Madison's Dairyland Dolls that will take place outdoors at the Madison Mallards' Duck Pond at Mallard Park. Rain day is Saturday, August 26.

ROLLERGIRLS TO INVADE BUMBERSHOOT
The Minnesota RollerGirls will be one of eight invited teams playing in the 2006 Bumbershoot, Flat-track Derby Invitational. It's not too late to find a flight out to Seattle to spend the weekend at one of the country's best festivals and to see the first-ever Bumberbout. Bumbershoot has been around since 1971 and is one of the premier music, art, and performance festivals in the country and will take place September 2-4.

HOME OPENER: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
The Minnesota RollerGirls will already have two big events (Madison and the Bumberbout tourney) under their belts by the time the season opener against the Tampa Bay Derby Darlins' rolls around. So you know what that means: fast jams, big hits, and the start of a whole new season of derby action.

Mark your calendar now, get those season tickets reserved, and rally your friends and neighbors to join you for the start of our third season and a whole new era of nationwide derby action right in downtown Saint Paul at our home, the legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
