This is it folks!  The event of the year is this saturday, Sept. 13th at 10 AM.  Where, you ask?  At the Leatherdale Equine Center on the U of M St. Paul Campus, near the State Fairgrounds.   The Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue proudly presents the conclusion of "Challenge of the Unwanted Horse"! 

 

One dozen untrained equines were sent to one dozen trainers for 100 days and the grand finale is this coming weekend!  $5,500 in prize money will be awarded to the top two performers.  A panel of judges will put the riders and their steeds through a series of tests and then allow each trainer to do a freestyle, showcasing their equine's individual talents!  This exciting event will be followed by an auction of the horses to pre-approved bidders.  PLEASE, get your preapproval just IN CASE you decide to bid on one of these fine equine specimens!  Western, eventing, games, pleasure, and dressage trainers all took horses home, so there's something for everyone.  Even if you don't plan to buy, come watch one of the most creative, unique horse events in the country.  I don't know whose idea this was, but kudos to them!  I'll find out by event time and announce it!
