I don't mean to be totally ignorant on who everyone is....but how is
everyone related to the MN Hooved Animal Rescue and its Board and such?

How is this all, the fund raisers and such,involving Drew and the
Rescue? Is everything run past her before it is presented here?

Sure hope I do not stir anything up...I am just curious who is who and
such.

Hi Jen - Good question and here's my response. This list is for folks
interested in the rescue and what events are coming up. It is independent of
the board and Drew and basically reports on decisions after they've been made.
Some but not all of the board members are signed up for the list and Drew does
not have a computer. I offered to do this after becoming frustrated about not
knowing of events or what was going on with the rescue.

For example, the techie types are busy working on a way to accomodate those
people who want to make recurring donations. Once the bugs are worked out, an
announcement will go out to this list about how to do it.

Or if an urgent need comes up, the call can go out to everyone.

I also send reminders of easy ways to help fund the rescue, like using
www.goodsearch.com and entering MN Hooved Animal Resuce as the search
beneficiary. Or shopping at www.countrysupply.com and listing the rescue as the
charity to benefit. No cost to you, money for the rescue. Sweet!

When a tack sale or the pony show are on deck, you will know about it. Only
rescue related emails go out to list members. Hopefully I will have a
newsletter to send at some point. This group has no political agenda - it just
relays information.
