You are invited to the winter blues groundwork clinic at Hi Circle Vee Arena! Heated to a balmy 45 degrees, the arena is a great place to spend Sunday afternoon January 27th from 2 to 4:30 PM learning some amazing techniques to enhance your enjoyment of working with horses. It's located at the NW corner of county 47 and county 8 in Isanti MN. This benefits the MN Hooved Animal Rescue and a $10 suggested donation is appreciated. If you are fostering horses for the rescue, you get in free!
Not just another groundwork clinic, these exercises will address the following issues: head and whip shyness, softening and moving away from pressure, teaching the horse to balance itself so it won't fall in on it's shoulder (you've probably never seen or heard of this technique), having your horse go where you point, lowering the head for bridling and haltering, developing proper musculature, and so much more.
Email me with any topics you would like to see included. Your horses value can only go up when he's a delight to be around on the ground! Warning: Doing this groundwork is addictive and fun and may just increase the amount of time you WANT to spend with your horse!! Horses in any discipline will benefit.
We have horses for the demos, so please just bring yourself and your human friends! Attached is a flyer - please print it and post it where other horse owners will see it ASAP as we've only got a week to go! Also, please forward this email to anyone who might be interested. I will also post it to the TCCTList, so please no extra post to them. Thanks a bunch!
Clinic put on by Janet LaBarre, former student of Olympian Jimmy Wofford and successful competitor and horse rehabber. All proceeds to benefit the MN Hooved Animal
Rescue.
