Why would I mourn for that? When was I a Billy Packer fan? I don't like knee jerk stereotypes, whether it's Packer's old style categories of ath-u-letic black players and "intelligent" white players, or the politically correct ones promulgated by the media today that -- when you think about it -- aren't much different from Packer's.
I'll take bland over Raftery any day. He's my LEAST favorite college basketball color man. ("Analyst" overstates the case for any of those guys.)
That said, while I like Kellogg OK, I'll agree that he ain't the most exciting guy, and teamed with the truly tedious Nantz it will be hard staying awake if the game isn't a thriller.

I think Packer’s legacy is mixed. He taught viewers a bit about the game. But his bias (you mean bilas?) was annoying. You know what I mean.
It was time for a change. But Clark Kellogg? Bland, man. Bill Raftery shoulda got the assignment.
