I wonder if his daughter Kathleen played ball? Or
maybe it meant Gopher men and Carleton women?
Kathleen played basketball at Carleton, I would say in the late 90's. She entered the Peace Corps after graduating Carleton, and may still be in it.
I got to know Larry when I would referee at Mound, first when he was the AD and later when he operated the clock at the girls hoops games. Of all the game administrators/table personnel I have run across in my 30 years of reffing, he was probably the nicest guy and finest person of the bunch.
For several years, his Gophers men's hoops season tickets were close to mine, and I would chat with him there, too.
Larry was an absolute class act, and he will be missed.
