Vaught And Payne Pick Up Young Guns Titles In Wild Night

By Katherine Adams

(Savannah, GA) The 5th Annual Winternationals and Coca-Cola Young
Guns Shoot-Out at Oglethorpe Speedway Park was larger than ever
expected. Two hundred and twenty competitors jammed into the infield
and after the flood gates opened Missouri's Will Vaught and
Arkansas' Jeremy Payne were on top as the 2006 Coca-Cola Young Guns
National Champions. It was a night filled with emotion, high tension
and finally just a little too much on the schedule.
Vaught nearly broke a five year old record for late model qualifying
as he snared the top time of the forty-nine Coca-Cola Young Guns
Late Model competitors. He missed the mark set by Jimmy Mars in 2001
by less than two one hundredths of a second.
In the main event, Vaught flexed his muscle again pulling away from
a strong DJ Troutman through a half dozen cautions. Mississippi's
Neil Baggett impressed the scouts with a strong run finishing up in
third. Ohio's Blake Chinn was fourth followed by another stout
performance that went recognized by South Carolina's Lee Cooper.
Kellen Chadwick, Matt Hubbard, Jonathan Davenport, Kayne Hickman and
Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth rounded out the top ten on Saturday night.
"I was impressed with the whole night for the Young Guns Late
Models," said Grand Marshal Ed Clark of the Atlanta Motor
Speedway. "There was some boys that turned some heads tonight. They
can really wheel a race car and they are excited about the sport.
That's what the guys here tonight are looking for in a young driver,
determination."
Curfew caused the most disappointing part of the night. The Coca-
Cola Young Guns Modified feature was red-flagged after a huge wreck
left the front stretch covered in debris. During the red flag clean-
up, city officials pulled the plug on the 55-year-old facility
enforcing the noise ordinance on the speedway at 12:17am. This gave
the victory to Jeremy Payne who was able to hold back Canada's Steve
Arpin for the short time needed. Clayton Miller, Alan Mondus and
defending champion Zack VanderBeek rounded out the first five while
Julie McDermid, Kellen Chadwick, Eddie Moser, David Hess and Derrick
Ramirez completed the top ten.
Despite the shortened race, team representatives were very impressed
with Arpin throughout the day and saw a possible diamond in the
rough with McDermid. The young lady from Wisconsin put on a show
racing in the IMCA Modifieds prior to the Young Guns race. She had
the fans on their feet while picking up an early night heat race win.
"She can drive the wheels off a race car," said Coca-Cola's Keith
Blackwell. "I was impressed with her effort. I know others were as
well."
In the Crate Late Model feature, former track champions Bobby Morris
and Bobby Oglesby dueled for the Saturday night honors. Morris held
off Oglesby to claim the laurels. Jonathan Davenport pulling 'double
duty' ended up in third ahead of Garrett Shurling and Travis
Pennington. Defending Winternationals Crate Late Model champion and
2005 OSP track champion Robert Diekemper was sixth with Brandon
Yawn, Brandon Cameron, Brandon Register and Chris Noah rounded out
the top ten of the thirty-three car field.
Other winners on Saturday night included local star Josh Carter
winning the Mini Stock feature while the Michigan duo of Myron
DeYoung and John DeYoung II ran first and second in the IMCA
Modified feature. The Championship Modified Tour feature was
postponed until Sunday afternoon due to the city curfew.
"I scheduled too much racing," said track promoter Ted Austad. "The
interest in the event was more than we expected and it ended up
being too much on the schedule. There will be adjustments made on
the schedule of this event in the future."
Drivers did have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front
of sixteen of the twenty professional team representatives on
Saturday afternoon and evening. They were impressed by the talent
and professionalism of many of the competitors and teams.
"There was a few instances of emotion getting the best of the
driver," said a scout wishing to remain anonymous. "It was big
weekend for them. Of course, it is a big weekend every weekend in
our arena."
Plans are already being made for the 3rd Annual Coca-Cola Young Guns
Shoot-Out presented by Stock Car Racing and Circle Track magazines
along with Sport Clips. Announcements about a new format and dates
will be released soon by Oglethorpe Speedway Park. Interested
parties can keep track of the release at www.ospracing.net.

Brian Brown Filling In for Injured World of Outlaws Mean 15 Racer
Jason Martin

Norman, OK — Feb. 4, 2006 — By Chris Dolack, VP Public Relations

Nobody is looking forward to the 2006 World of Outlaws Sprint Series
season more than Jason Martin. New sponsors, a new paint scheme and
a
schedule of coast-to-coast events to compete for the Kevin Gobrecht
Rookie of the Year Award are all a part of his team's plan.

But after a hard crash Thursday night at East Bay Raceway Park near
Tampa, Fla., Martin's plans as the driver of the No. 36 NOS Energy
Drink/Mafia Motorsports Maxim will be slightly altered. Martin, 23,
is
expected to be out of action for a minimum of six weeks after
suffering
a neck injury during the feature when his car and another car
touched,
sending Martin into a scary flip.

"I don't know what happened," said Martin, a native of Liberal,
Kan.,
who already has 57 feature wins in his career. "I don't even
remember
going out for the A-main. From what my guys tell me, I drove it in
on
the top real hard and the guy on the inside missed his line and slid
up
in front of me and I jumped the right rear. That was the end of the
story."

Says Martin's father Dan Martin, "It's just one of those unfortunate
things that happens. There's nothing you can do about it. There's
nothing that could have been done any different. I said, `Well, what
do
you want to do now?' He said, `We've got to find somebody to put in
the
car until I can get back in it.' I said, `OK, that's what I wanted
to
hear.'"

Brian Brown, a respected Midwest driver who competes at Knoxville
Raceway and who has raced with and against the World of Outlaws for
several seasons, will climb into Martin's machine during the 35th
Annual Winternationals beginning this week at Volusia Speedway Park
near Daytona Beach, Fla.

"Hopefully, if Brian's happy and I'm happy we can go from there
until
Knoxville opens up," Martin said. "Maybe I can be healed by then,
but
I'm not going to get back in it until I'm sure that I'm healed. I'm
still going to stay on the road and make sure everything goes in the
right direction, though."

Martin also will continue making appearances on behalf of NOS Energy
Drink and Mafia Motorsports, including autograph sessions from 1
p.m.
to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the Wal-Mart in Palm Coast, 1 p.m. to 2:30
p.m. on Thursday at the Wal-Mart in Deland and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on
Friday at the Wal-Mart in Ormond Beach.

"We're in this for the long haul," said Mike Fine, NOS Energy Drink
brand manager. "We're not going to pull our support because Jason
got
hurt. We believe in the team and Jason and we want to be there as he
grows as a driver. Hopefully my brand will grow as Jason grows."

The 2006 World of Outlaws Sprint Series season begins Thursday at
Volusia Speedway Park with a 3 p.m. media conference and 4:30 p.m.
autograph session.

points for that night. If you are protested again and you do not
tear down, you have to move up to the next class.

removal from the track, loss of points and money for that night.
20. Courtesy Rule: Any car from another track with minor rule
differences may at management's discretion, race on that night but
will be notified of any modifications and will have to be legal on

field. If this happens a second time by the same car it will result
in a black flag.

NOT BE CHANGED BY THE PROMOTER.

drawing pills must sign in by the pill draw number they get. If you

number you draw out.
30. Drivers may pick up their winnings starting after the Sprint
feature and until 15 minutes after the final race.
31. Track admission: Grandstands - Adults $10 with children age 12 &
under admitted free. Pit pass - $25 for child and adult. Pit pass
arm bands must be wore all night and must be on the person signed in.
32. All cars must weigh after heats and semi races. All top 10 cars
must weigh after the feature; if you forget to go across the scales
after your race you will lose points and money for that night.
32a. If you do not weigh after the feature, everyone after that spot
will be moved up a spot.
33. Points will be given for the heat, dash and feature in each
class.
34. Any points race ending in a tied will be determined by the most
feature wins.
35. If you have a problem or you thing something is not right, you
need to go to the owner and see what can be worked out to solve the
problem. It takes the drivers, fans, pit crews, and family to make a
great track work.

HE/SHE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RACE FOR THE FIRST TWO RACES OF THE NEXT
SEASON.

Lasoski, Roth Motorsports ready for 2006 season!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------

By Bob Jones

HIGGINSVILLE, MO - Danny "The Dude" Lasoski and the Roth Motorsports
Team are putting the finishing touches on the cars and getting ready
for the 2006 racing season. Lasoski and crew are competing with the
newly formed National Sprint Tour for the upcoming season and the
NST schedule is filling in more and more as each week passes.

Lasoski spent the past few weeks racing across the globe at
Parramatta City Raceway in New South Wales, Australia and the Bay
Park Speedway in Mount Maungaui, New Zealand. "We had a great time
overseas, but it is good to be home. We had some great runs while we
were there and it just felt good to be back in the car. I thought we
were in good shape the final night in New Zealand. We finished
seventh the first night, third the second night and had moved into
second the last night before the motor let go. All in all we had a
great time, put together some good runs and the fans were really
good to us," said Lasoski.

With sprint car racing in the States just around the corner, the
Roth Motorsports Team is eager to start racing and they are
anticipating a great year. "I am so excited to get racing again.
Dennis Roth is a successful businessman and he knows what it takes
to win. He has put everything in place for us to succeed. He has
provided us with great equipment and has put the right people in
place to make it all work. My guys (Paul Silvis, Davey Whitworth and
Steven Tiner) have been working hard building cars and getting
everything ready for the road ahead. We have a lot to prove out
there this year and I think everyone will see what this team is
capable of," said Lasoski.

The Roth Motorsports Team will utilize a powerful combination of
equipment including Eagle Chassis, Paul Kistler-powered Chevrolet
engines, Weld Wheels and Hoosier Tires. Sponsors on the 83 sprinter
will include Roth Motorsports, American Compressed Steel, Arctic Cat
Motorsports, Speedway Motors, Mac Tools, Featherlite and Southwest
Hide. Yak Graphics has recently completed the graphic work and
lettering on the newly prepared cars. Shop photos of the new car can
be seen at www.dannylasoski.com.

West Plains Motor Speedway Sets 2006 Season Schedule

By Frank Tillman

(WEST PLAINS, MO) West Plains Motor Speedway promoters Don and
Billie Gibson have released the 2006 racing schedule. Again this
year, as in the past six, the Stanfill Memorial Modified Special
will actually kick-off competition with a 3-day modified event
paying $8,000 to win and $800 to start the 50-lap feature sponsored
by Dirt Works Race Cars, out of Walker, MO.

Beginning Thursday, March 16 and climaxing on Saturday, March 18.
This race has drawn top modified racers from across the nation in
past years and is expected to do the same this year. Last year's
winner, Terry Phillips from Springfield, MO, is expected to defend
his crown, but there will be plenty of competition trying to see
that his plans fall short.

Three Saturday practice days are scheduled beginning with March 4,
followed by March 11, and the third and final practice on March 25,
will follow the annual Race Car Show to be held on the parking lot
at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter in West Plains. Winners of this show are
determined by a penny-per-vote method with all proceeds going to St.
Jude's Children's Hospital . Everyone displaying will receive a
trophy compliments of Coca-Cola and O'Reilly Auto Parts.

Weekly points races will begin on Saturday, April 1, and continue
through Saturday, September 30, with the exception of special event
dates. The divisions making up the weekly program for 2006 will be
headlined by the ever popular IMCA Modified along with Super Stock,
Hobby Stock, Cruisers and the Youth Hobby Stock.

Almost all the champions from 2005 are expected to be back to defend
their titles, they include Billy Romans (IMCA Modified), Stan
Ellison (Super Stock), Bobby Bryant (Hobby Stock), all from West
Plains, and Bobby Skinner (Cruiser) of Moody, MO. Anthony Carnal
(Youth Hobby Stock) of Cabool, MO, has already moved up to Hobby
Stock.

Traveling late model series will make four appearances this season.
The Mid-American Racing Series(MARS) is scheduled in April 8, and
again on September 2, for the 16th annual Fall Nationals. Ken
Essary's Show-Me Late Models are set to appear June 17, and again on
July 22.

The track's signature event, the 14th annual "Show-Me 100", is set
for May 25-27 and will again carry O'Reilly Auto Parts as the title
sponsor. This event traditionally brings the best late model drivers
from across the nation to the southern Missouri town to vie for the
$200,000 total purse.

Scott Bloomquist of Mooreville, TN, is the defending and 4-time
champion of the event and will be looking to make it three "Show-
Me's" in a row this season. If he does he will collect $40,000 for
the accomplishment. Start money this year amounts to $4,000, making
this the best paying late model race in history. Modifieds will be
the support class.

The Kenny Wallace Race Night is set for Thursday, June 15, this
season. This fan favored NASCAR driver will again make a fan
appearance prior to the night's modified program where he will
compete in his #36 Herminator modified manufactured by Impressive
Chassis.

The Simon's & Sunoco Firecracker Weekend is scheduled for June 29 to
July 1. This event will offer 3-nights to qualify for the Super
Stock division offering a $5,000 check to the winner on Saturday
night. Last place start money will be $500 with a weekly points
program for the other classes. The weekend will be highlighted by a
fireworks extravaganza produced by Air Magic Fireworks out of
Batesville, AR , on Saturday night.

The 14th annual Dirt Work's sponsored Modified Show-Me Championship
will begin on Thursday August 3, and conclude on Saturday, August 5.
This program provides three night of qualifying for the modifieds in
an unsanctioned event paying $6,500 to win and $650 to start. Weekly
classes will also run points programs.

The 16th annual Fall Nationals will again feature the MARS Late
Models on Saturday, September 2. There will also be a full points
program for the weekly classes.

The seasons special events will wind up with the American Sprint Car
Series (ASCS) annual appearance on Saturday, September 23. This is
always a thrill-packed program with a large field of sprints.

For additional information on special events, the schedule or
speedway facility visit the website at www.westplains-speedway.com .

March 18th & 25th will be the dates for our Spotter Training School.
These classes will be scheduled for 11am on both days at I-70
Speedway. These classes will be held on the same days as our pre-
season practices that will begin at noon on these days also. Please
insure two members for each race team attend this class. If you are
not able to supply two spotters then please inform us on the school
date you attend what other team will be suppling your "back-up"
spotter.

In an effort to improve we will be having a mandatory Spotters
School to be scheduled prior to the 2006 Racing Season. Each racing
class that requires a spotter will be required to send 2 members of
their team to the Spotter School. A primary spotter will be
designated for each team along with a back-up spotter. These members
upon completion of the class will then be given indentification
designating them as a Certified Spotter. This will in no way
guarantee that all spotters will make the correct call everytime,
but it will insure that they are aware of the proper procedures for
spotting a race car. In talks with Kent Crane and others we feel we
will have a very knowlegable teaching staff for this class. If
anyone has other suggestions in regards to this issue please fell
free to contact I-70 Speedway at 816-230-0080. Dates will be posted
for these classes sometime after the first of the year. There will
be atleast 2 classes scheduled prior to the 2006 Season so that
every spotter can schedule to attend either 1 or both. It will be I-
70 Speedways policy in 2006 and beyond that only a Certified Spotter
will be allowed in the spotter stand and should a Certified Spotter
not be provided by that team, that team will not be allowed to race
till a Certified Spotter is provided. Teams will have the ability to
borrow a Certified Spotter from another team in another class if
their Designated Spotter and Back-Up are not available. This Policy
will be added to the 2006 General Rules for I-70 Speedway. Please
take the time during the off season to determine who these spotters
for your teams will be.

World of Outlaw Late Models release 2006 Schedule!

By Bret Emrick
World of Outlaws Late Model Series officials have released a
schedule for the upcoming 2006 racing season and the quest for the
Championship. The schedule finds the band of throttle-stomping
travelers visiting 27 different race tracks in a 16 state area for
36 currently booked events. Several remaining dates on the schedule
are being negotiated and will be added to the 2006 WoO Late Model
Series schedule as warranted.

Fifteen of the scheduled events will be broadcast on a tape-delay
basis on SPEED during the 2006 season with several others slated for
broadcast on DIRTvision.com. Each World of Outlaws Late Model Series
event will also be broadcast on the DIRT Radio Network on
DIRTvision.com.

"Putting the schedule together has been a challenge but there is a
good mix of different racing facility's for the race teams," said
Dean Miracle, World of Outlaws Late Model Series Competition
Director. "All of the dates we have currently scheduled are being
held at topnotch race tracks. That will give the race teams a good
challenge and give the fans great shows. There are still some holes
we need to fill on the schedule. We are talking with other tracks
about the available dates. Once those dates are filled we will add
them to the schedule."

The drive for the 2006 World of Outlaws Late Model Series
Championship begins February 4 at Golden Isles Speedway in
Waynesville, Ga., before heading to Volusia Speedway Park in
Barberville, Fla., for separate shows February 16 and February 18.
Both events at V.S.P. will be broadcast on SPEED.

The WoO Late Model Series will then make first appearances March 17
at Baton Rouge Raceway in Baker, La., and March 18 at Fast Trax
Motorplex in Chatham, La.

After a two week break in the schedule the Series will return to
action April 7 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa. The
Lernerville event also is scheduled as a DIRTvision.com `LIVE Video
Cybercast'. The WoO Late Model teams then return April 8 to Bill
Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda, Va., for another SPEED
date. Easter weekend finds the WoO Late Model Series making its
inaugural appearance at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City,
Ala., on April 14-15. The SPEED cameras will tape all the exciting
action from the April 15 event at EAMS.

The month of May will open with a return visit May 5 to Brushcreek
Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio followed by inaugural events on
May 12 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Ill., and May 13 at
Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, Ind. Ten days later, Bolivar
Speedway in Bolivar, Missouri does the same with a first time WoO
Late Model Series visit May 23. The string of debuts at host tracks
continues May 30 and May 31 when the WoO Late Model Series invades
the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., and North Central
Speedway in Brainerd, Minn., respectively.

Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., welcomes the Series and
the SPEED cameras back for a return visit June 1 (raindate June 2)
for the first of two scheduled 2006 D.S.C. visits. Western Kentucky
Speedway in Madisonville, Ky., will be hosts of its first World of
Outlaws Late Model Series event on June 16.

Next on the schedule will be a July 1 return engagement to Stateline
Speedway in Busti, N.Y., followed July 2 by the series debut at
Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y., for another SPEED
date. Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, returns to the 2006
schedule with a July 8 (raindate July 9) event with the SPEED
cameras on hand. On July 11,the WoO Late Model Series returns to
Ransomville Speedway in Ransomville, N.Y.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series then stops July 21-22 at Jim
Nier's KC Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio, for a two-day SPEED
televised event. It's then off to Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon,
Mo., for a return engagement on July 25 before traveling back to
Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., for two separate shows
on July 28 and July 29. Both events at D.C.S. will be SPEED dates.

Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., starts off the month of August
with a SPEED covered Aug. 4 date followed by an Aug. 5 appearance at
Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Md. The WoO Late Model Series
then makes its inaugural visit on Aug. 15 to Lake Ozark Speedway in
Eldon, Mo., for another SPEED television date before returning Aug.
25 to Western Kentucky Speedway in Madisonville, Ky. The Series will
then travel to Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Miss., for another
first-time ever visit on Aug. 26.

Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, Pa., is host to the World of Outlaws
Late Model Series for two separate events on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3 as
part of the SPEED coverage package. After a week off, the
Championship campaign continues with a first-time stop on Sept. 15
at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Ky., followed Sept. 16

Rally in the 100 Acre Wood - Feb 24-25, 2006

The premiere United States national rally series is coming to the
Ozark foothills of Missouri. The 2006 Rally-America calendar will
now include two new events, one of which is the Rally in the 100
Acre Wood, to be held on February 24 – 25, 2006. This year the rally
now stands as the second event of the calendar year, taking place in
late winter. The rally will also be host to the regional rally
national championship. Top drivers out of six different classes of
competition vehicles will come from regions across the United States
to crown a 2005 Regional National Champion. The rally is known for
some of the best rally roads in America, mostly smooth and fast with
some challenging technical sections, and the local communities are
looking forward to hosting competitors.

For any newcomers to rallying, a rally consists of "transit zones"
and "special stages". A transit zone has the rally teams on the
roads with the general public following the rules of the road and
merely gets the competitors from one special stage to another.
Special stages are temporarily closed-to-the-public sections of
roads where competitors are allowed to travel as fast as they safely
can, started one minute apart, between the start and the finish of
the stage. Trained, expert volunteers ensure the safety of the
public and the competitors and provide a timing mechanism to score
the event on the heavily manned special stages. The total elapsed
times for each team over all the special stages will determine both
individual class and overall victories in the event. The composite
times for both rallies will crown a winner for five nationally
recognized classes.

Trespassers Wil is a Coefficient 2 rally. (The Coefficient level is
determined by the number of special stage miles in the event. A
Coefficient 2 has 30 to 65 stage miles.) This event will begin on
Friday afternoon in downtown Steelville. The 100 Acre Wood is a
Coefficient 3 rally (which has 65 to 100 stage miles). Contestants,
a driver and a co-driver per car, will start in downtown Salem on
Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. and race throughout the day, passing
multiple spectator points, before returning to Salem that evening. A
full schedule for both days can be found online at the rally
website, www.100aw.org

Anyone interested in helping with this event may contact Curt Faigle
at 314-839-2701 or curt@... to volunteer. Your help is greatly
needed as well over 200 volunteers will be requited to staff the
courses on February 24 and 25.

Additional information and up-to-date news may be obtained by
visiting the www.100aw.org website.

Crenshaw headlines indoor show
Humansville, MO - February 01, 2006
By: Greg Clemons

In a second annual event being tagged as the "Silly Bowl" by race
fans just back from the "Chili Bowl", crazy things seem to be
happening! The dirt track built overnite after the last bull ride on
Sat produced some very exciting racing on Sunday!

The first strange sight was the world's longest pace car, provided
by Racing Limos of Kansas City carrying the American flag! Mike
Ballinger, CEO of the limo co. further added to the silliyness, a
cash bonus for the day's Figure 8 FInale featuring "Bullring Stock
Cars"! Many spectators of the Double J record crowd exclaimed that
the figure 8 race was the "wildest thing they had ever seen!"

The finale saw race winner, Jodie Crenshaw of Osceola, Mo bringing
home the bacon in what looked like a metal slaugherhouse after 20
nonstop laps of insane racing! Dodging debris and sidelined
casulties was the Oval Stock Car winner, Wade Sherman who said, " I
guess I didn't know what I was getting myself into!" The light
nudgiing the "Shermaninator" recieved from Allen Guthrie, 2nd place
on the oval, paled in comparison.

Race fans saw 77 racers in a unique mixture of divisions, Sunday
afternoon. The most professional appearing show for the serious race
fan was a man-sized 30 lap 600cc Midget race won by a very talented
young lady, Kayla Koch of Sweet Springs, Mo. Kayla, 16, never
bobbled despite extreme pressure from 2nd place, Dan Johnson and 3rd
Dewayne Benson. In the first half Shawn Kerner of Lawson gave Kayla
a fit until he somehow fell back to 4th with hard charging, Charlie
Burton fighting for 5th.

Grand River Speedway record holder, 12 yr old, Brian Beebe passed
the most cars to find himself in 3rd until a loose carb stopped his
run. The non wing 600cc, Chili Bowl look-a-likes earned a permanent
home at the Double J indoor track with their stellar performance!

Jay Reynolds, Nixa, Mo, repeated his 2005 500cc Outlaw win and the
classes junior poteges, as young as 5 yrs old stole hearts as well
as the show. Tyler Betts of Warsaw won the first race he was ever in
and a very gifted, Tru Atkins of Nixa won the more advanced race
over Quentin Taylor, who fought him hard for second. The crowd
adored the children and emotions were high, throughout the building!

Kart class winners were Brad Moad, Tim Moore and his son, Taylor
Moore. Drivers from the quad lakes region included kart racer, Kevin
Butcher of Humansville. Figure 8 drivers also from Osceola behind
Jodie Crenshaw were Robbie Jones and Ryan and Dusty Bray. Buffalo,
Mo drivers were Mark Simon, Austin Coffee and Richard Adam. Clint
Shelton came from Lowry City, Mo to race at Double J.

With Figure 8 crews atop destroyed cars and arena debris piles,
cheering loudly at the end of the day, it seems that the second
annual "Silly Bowl was a raving success!

2006 C.A.R.B. Hall of Fame inductees to be revealed this Saturday
on "Track Talk"
Kansas City, MO - February 01, 2006
By: C.A.R.B.

This is a very busy week for the Central Auto Racing Boosters.
Several functions will be occurring on Saturday, February 4, 2006.

The first event you do not want to miss is the announcement of the
2006 class of eight to be inducted into the C.A.R.B. Hall of Fame of
Kansas City. The award winners will be announced on the Track Talk
radio show, hosted by Scott Traylor and Kirk Elliott, Saturday
morning February 4, 2006. The show airs between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00
a.m. The Hall of Fame Appreciation Dinner and ceremony will be held
on March 4, 2006, at Finnigan's Hall in North Kansas City.

At 7:00 P.M. on February 4, 2006, the General Membership Meeting
will be held in the Cork Room of Finnigan's Hall. At this meeting we
will discuss the upcoming Hall of Fame Appreciation Dinner and
awards ceremony, we will update everyone on plans for the Race On
held in conjunction with Snake Saturday and a safety seminar to be
held that morning, and we will announce the dates for C.A.R.B.
nights at I-70, Lakeside, and Central Missouri. Additionally we are
announcing that the "Blood Mobile" from the Community Blood Center
will be a part of all three C.A.R.B. Nights in 2006. This allows the
racing community to continue a long-standing tradition of supporting
the Kansas City community through blood donations.

Finally we will top off the night of February 4, 2006, with our 13th
Annual Bowlathon. This event started in 1994 with 38 racing teams
having a great night of fun and camaraderie as we bide our time
during the winter months. Starting in 1995 and continuing through
this year this event has been a sold out event occupying all 48
lanes of North Kansas City Pro Bowl. Additionally, thanks in a large
part to our sponsors we were able to ensure everyone participating
in the Bowlathon left with a prize and we will continue that this
year.

So if you have not had an opportunity to participate in any of
C.A.R.B.'s events please take the time to mark your calendar for
this Saturday and come and enjoy all the excitement. Guests are
always welcome at any of our events and membership is only $10 a
year.

Great pics. I was wondering if I could use some for the front page. I
noticed you have some 2005 track champions that I would like to honor.
