| Notes: | http://eteamz.active.com/mvxc/news/index.cfm?cat=286622 The Monte Vista Invitational will continue in 2007, with a confirmed date of Tuesday, September 4th. It will be held once again at Oakhill Park in Danville, and run through the park as well as the Monte Vista High School campus and surrounding sports fields. The first race will go off at 4:00pm. For the first time in years, it looks like the course will remain the same from last year. It is challenging, for sure, with the famous "Eliminator" hill coming midway. All races will be 2.0 miles. For the 3rd consecutive year, we will race according to grade level, not division (varsity, JV...). Therefore, all Sophomore boys will race each other, all Junior girls in there own race, etc. Once again, the Freshman races will be last, so that your new runners have time to observe the course and how their teammates prepare, and race. Every attempt will be made to adhere to the time schedule. Back up timing systems will be employed. Even so, with 8 races it will be a long afternoon/evening. PARKING UPDATE! Visiting Coaches and Drivers - the new parking lot across the street from the school is now open. This lot is to the north (left side) as you are coming up Stone Valley Road towards Monte Vista. It is highly recommended that buses use this lot to drop off teams and to park. Teams can cross Stone Vly road at the new traffic signal. Thanks!
