Your hard work all season paid off in significant improvement over 2007.  The trend is favorable for MSJ.  We still have a young team, and with some more good work we can take another big step up next year.  But first:  Varsity will run NCS, we will celebrate our 2008 accomplishments, and we will recognize our seniors who will be graduating.

 

Awards Night

The Cross Country Awards night will be on Monday, 12/1, at Mission Pizza at 6:00 pm.  See discount coupon for pizza and more details at:

Double discount applies with the coupon on Mondays.  You will need to order your food 3 hours before the event in order for it to be ready when you arrive.  Friends and family are also invited.  Everyone who completed the season in good standing will be given a certificate.

NCS

The Varsity teams will compete at the NCS Meet in Hayward on Saturday, November 22.  Newark and Logan are in our Division.  MSJ has a good chance to finish ahead of both of these teams.  The race schedule has the Division 1 Boys running at 9 am and the Division 1 Girls running at 10:00 am.  The directions to Hayward, course map, schedule, strict rules concerning jewelry, etc. are at:

Parking can be an issue, so it is good to arrive early. 

 

Uniforms

Coach Marden has requested that you return uniforms to him before the Awards Night so that you will not be charged.

 

2009

The first unofficial practice for the 2009 season will probably be held on Monday, 7/6.  Will you be ready to improve on your good 2008 success?
