Nikki Roxx returns to SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES on Saturday, July 5,
2008! She will be a part of the Volumes 19 & 20 taping at the Berwyn
Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL. Bell time is 4pm. Doors
open at 3pm.

The formal announcement of Nikki's SHIMMER return was made this past
Saturday night on the video screen at the AAW event in Berwyn. You

Nikki Roxx was one of the original 18 women who were a part of
SHIMMER from the beginning, and was an integral part of establishing
the promotion during our first two years of operation.

Despite competing in undercard matches, and sometimes being in the
opening match on several of the early SHIMMER DVDs, Nikki Roxx worked
her way to the top of the card through heart and determination.
Following her match against Amazing Kong on Volume 5 of the SHIMMER
DVD series, which caught the attention of wrestling fans around the
world, Nikki went on a winning streak that propelled her into the
main event picture at SHIMMER.

Though Nikki had to cease active SHIMMER competition in late 2007 due
to signing a contract with TNA Wrestling, the recent video agreement
signed by SHIMMER which allows TNA contracted talent to appear on our
events opened up the opportunity to bring one of the most popular
wrestlers in SHIMMER history back into the mix!

July 5th will see the return of Nikki Roxx to SHIMMER competition
after a one year absence. General admission tickets to the July 5th
taping are still available at www.shimmerwrestling.com. Make sure
you're there LIVE and in person to see Nikki's return!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES will film Volumes 19 & 20 of the SHIMMER DVD
series on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Eagles Club (6309 26th
Street) in Berwyn, IL, just outside Chicago. Bell time will be 4pm
for the taping.

Since the 4th of July this year lands on a Friday, this SHIMMER
taping falls smack dab in the middle of a holiday weekend! Plan your
road trip to the Chicagoland area now. See the fireworks and blow
random stuff up on Friday night, and then head over to the Eagles
Club on Saturday to check out the best in women's pro wrestling! As
always, $1 draft beers at the bar for SHIMMER!

Celebrate Independence Day weekend with the Women Athletes of
SHIMMER! Saturday, July 5th!

Front row tickets to the taping are SOLD OUT. General Admission

SHIMMER 190 NORTH SEGMENT

ABC-TV Channel 7 in Chicago sent a crew to the SHIMMER Volumes 15 &
16 taping late last year to film a segment for its "190 North"
program, featuring different things going on around Chicago.

The segment can both be downloaded in high resolution (taken from the
HD broadcast of the segment), or viewed in low resolution on YouTube.
It features interviews Allison Danger, Ashley Lane, and Amber O'Neal,
plus footage from a few of the Volume 15 matches.

WRESTLING OBSERVER & FIGURE FOUR MERGE

It was recently announced that Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer and
Bryan Alvarez's Figure Four Weekly web sites have merged into one.
Memberships to the site are available at a cost of $9.95 per month,
which entitles you to the full issues of both the Observer and F4W to
be read online, plus tons of daily audio shows, a back issue archive,
and more. This is noteworthy as it means the Observer is now offered
online, whereas in the past the only option was to be mailed a hard
copy of it.
