On Saturday, September 15th, the Colgate University Cycling Club will be hosting the 2nd Annual Colgate Fall Classic in Hamilton, NY. It will consist of three events: the Colgate University Hill Climb Time Trial at 11 AM, which is a 1-mile uphill battle to the finish through the campus; the Payne Valley Circuit Road Race at 1:30 PM, which consists of multiple laps of a 12-mile loop depending on ability; and the Tour de Hamilton Kid’s Race at 12:30 PM, which consists of multiple laps on a 0.7-mile depending on ability.

 

The 2nd Annual Colgate Fall Classic has built upon the successes of the 1st Colgate Fall Classic. We have kept the course the same, hired local police to manage traffic around the start/finish, and increased signage prior to the turns in order to increase safety. We have also been able to make this year’s prize list bigger and better than last year’s. We hope that those who joined us last year will return and spread the word about our growing race. In order to thank the returning racers for their support, we would like to offer a $2 rebate in race entry fees on race day, whether you register online or on race day. So, be sure to let us know that this is your second year at the Colgate Fall Classic!!!
