Dear J,
Welcome to the area! We just received another supply of women's
uniforms and socks! I will be bringing the items to our club's weekly
road races and time trials and especially to this Sunday's Binghamton
Circuit Race at Kirkwood Industrial Park.
Many of the women ride and train with the Tioga Velo Club who has
organized weekly road races and time trials.
See www.tiogavelo.com for the schedule and membership information.
We do have several members who know the Vestal area and could give you
some good places to ride. Glenwood Avenue and Powderhouse Road are nice
roads, much less traffic than the parkway.
I live in Chen Forks so all my riding is in the Port Crane, Greene,
Smithville, Whitney Point, Castle Creek areas, if anyone wants some good
30-40 mile loops, let me know!
Send an email out to the group if you're looking for riding partners,
date & time, and approx how long you want to ride with your contact
info.
Come on out to the Industrial park on Sunday, we'll have a tent set up,
you can check out a casual race and get to know a bunch of local riders
:)
Marsha

Subject: Mission In Motion Jerseys? road bike trails?
Hi, I just moved to Binghamton not too long ago. I was wondering if
anyone knew where i can buy a female bike jersey. I've checked several
places and they all had male jerseys. I was also curious to know if
anyone had any idea where I can start training without killing myself
(on vestal pkwy). I'm not to familiar with the area so any advice would
be great (though anything over 15 miles + long flats to work on sprints
would be greatly appreciated)
J
