Sexson hitting 3rd   Message List

I could be done...leaving Jenkins to hit 3rd. However, I think that
might create a couple of problems with the line up:

1) You will more then likely see Sanchez ( has anyone heard how his
leg is doing) and Young hitting in the number one and two holes.
These guys can run and if they do run they will be opening up bases
to which Sexson can be put on...either intentionally
or "unintentionally" walking him. That ends up taking the bat out of
his hands.

2) I like the idea of Jenkins hitting in front of Richie. It should
produce more good pitches to hit. They Brewers REALLY need Jenkisn
to hit if they are going to have any success.

3)The line up is potentially very weak. If they move Sexson up the
bottom portion of the order becomes very vunerable.

Now one concession to make is that the Brewers lineup will be VERY RH
heavy. It may be Yost's thoughts that by hitting Sexon 3rd and
Jenkins 4th..it would put a LH bat a little deeper in the order. For
with the exception of Valentin ( who is a switch hitter) the entire
lineup would be RH from that point down.
