I see things a little differently....but not too much I suppose...
I see the rotation being
Sheets
Rusch
Ritchie
Quevedo
Franklin
(Nick needs to get some time in AAA. One, to get him some innings.
The bullpen should be
DeJean-Closer (For now. I think you could see him get moved during
the spring. He has value and the Brewers have Vizcaino to close)
Vizcaino- He is the closer of the future.
De Los Santos (LH)
Mathews (LH)
Durocher
Dave Mlicki/Kinney
Lineup:
Young (2B)
Clayton (ss)
Jenkins (LF)
Sexon (1B)
Hammonds (CF)
Clark/Vanderwal (RF)
Helms (3B)
Valentin (C)
The reason I think this deviates from the previously posted line up is
1) I am not sure how healthy Sanchez's legs are going to be starting
the season. If he can't run his value goes WAY down. 2) I think
Clark is a great pick up. If he gets 500 ABs I think you could
see .275 20 80 15 ....and play good defense. He will work his way
into more time which would prompt them to move Hammons to CF.
Hammonds is hard to read...last contract season he had he hit lights
out?
Machado-(C)
Ginter (3B/2B/OF)
Brooks K. (1B/OF/RP)
Cruz (IF)
Sanchez (OF)
I don't think the bench needs to be any bigger then this as they have
a couple players that can move around...
Helms: 3b, LF, RF, 1B
Ginter: 3B, 2B, LF, RF
Brooks K: 1B, LF, RF, RP
Sanchez: LF, CF, RF
Hammonds: LF, CF, RF
Valentin: C, 3B, 1B
Cruz: SS, 2B, 3B
Vanderwal: 1B,LF, RF
Clark: LF, RF, CF (in emergencies), 1B
I think Quecevedo should stay up. He has good stuff and at least
stayed healthy. Franklin deserves the opening shot at the #5 slot.
Keep in mind that the Brewers will look to unload a couple people as
the season starts/goes on.
DeJean has value and is replacable.
Hammonds if he starts hitting could be moved.
Vanderwal will more then likely be moved down the stretch.
We will see. I hope however, that Yost really pushes everyone and
makes the spots wide open..on this time nobody, short of Sexson and
Sheets should have a guaranteed spot.

Quevedo will not make the squad, but I think the Brewers will send
him to the minors and he will be one of the first call-ups if they
need another pitcher.

least right now. I like Javier Valentin at catcher both because he's
young and because the Twins lost hope in him. Then again, Eddie
Perez and Robert Machado are also strong candidates for this job, but
I feel the Brewers should start Valentin because he's young enough to
have a good year and be close to injury-free.

The Brewers should be fine with keeping him there, especially if
Brooks Kieschnick can pitch and hit. I chose Machado because he was
with the Brewers last year and they have Eddie Perez signed to a
minor league deal; thus, they can afford to send Perez to the
minors. The fifth outfield spot will be a tough call because both
Podsednik and Vander Wal are lefties. Thus, this spot will truly be
based upon who performs better in spring training (I'm sure other
ones are too, but this one will go down to the wire).
