Glad to see some life in here. It is depressing.
A couple points:
I would think that Valentin will get first crack at the starting C's
job. He has a much more potent bat then Perez or Machodo and they
Brewers will need the punch.
Thirdbase: I have seen a lot of Wes Helms and I am not sold on him
playing everyday. In addition, Ginter has put up good numbers in the
past and it could eat in to Helm's playing time.
RF/CF: These two slots will probably be more up for grabs then people
think. Hammonds didn't hit at all last year and Brady Clark can
easily equal if not exceed his numbers if given an opportunity. So I
would watch this battle. If Hammonds starts hitting with power again
one of the other guys (Clark, Vanderwal, Helms/Ginter) starts hitting
the ball hard you could see Hammonds move to CF with Sanchez getting
benched for the short term. It would be nice to showcase him and
then trade him during the season for some prospects.
