The Brewers have seven potential free agents at the end of the
season, and general manager Dean Taylor told the July 16 Milwaukee
Journal Sentinel that all of them are available in a trade in
exchange for prospects. The list includes Jose Hernandez, Tyler
Houston, Mark Loretta, Lenny Harris, Alex Ochoa, Matt Stairs and
Jamey Wright. "We will see what kind of interest there is," Taylor
said. "If we have a chance to get younger, we will look at that. We
have seven potential free agents on the club. We would certainly look
at any deal that is presented to us and do what is in the best
interest of this team." According to the Journal Sentinel, the club
hasn't started to negotiate with any of its free agents and is set on
a youth movement.
