There are reports that Marcel Desailly will return to Milan as a
talent scout, while medics give their update on Ronaldo's fitness.
Desailly wore the Rossoneri jersey from 1993 and '98, winning many
trophies with the Italian club.
According to French magazine `L'Equipe', the former Chelsea
midfielder will be employed as a talent scout in France and Africa.
Meanwhile, the Milan medical staff have given an update on Ronaldo's
battle for fitness and denied his problem was too much food.
"We are very optimistic," noted MilanLab chief Professor Jean Pierre
Meersseman. "Ronaldo is continuing to lose weight and has already
lost 3kg. The objective is to see him lose more of the muscular mass
rather than the fat. That is the real problem."
It has long been suggested that the sudden gain in muscular mass at
Barcelona contributed to Il Fenomeno's injury nightmare, although
his nickname of `Gordo' in Spain highlighted the general weight
increase following his Real Madrid move in 2002.
