Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has described Ronaldinho as an ‘extraordinary champion’ after the Brazilian delighted the crowd at San Siro during the game against Bologna.
It was not a happy outcome for Milan at the weekend as the home side lost their opening league match. However, they have taken comfort from the fact that Ronaldinho is getting back to his best. “We saw a splendid Ronaldinho, like everyone expected,” Berlusconi told Mattina Cinque. “It was an unlucky game, but I am sure that this team will give a spectacle throughout the season. “In any case, Milan are the only team to have three world player of the year winners in their side. Ronaldinho, Kaka and [Andriy] Shevchenko will make all the Milanisti delighted, as well as those people who love beautiful football.” The 2-1 defeat to Bologna was not so beautiful, yet confidence is still high at Milanello as the club looks to bounce back. 'Dinho was, perhaps, the man of the match for Milan as he pulled the strings throughout the game and showed just why the club did all they could to buy him from Barcelona this summer. A tricky away clash at Genoa awaits the Rossoneri next week and reports suggest Kaka will be back for the game. Goal.com |
