I miss the regular emails on the list myself. It seems if something comes in my mailbox I read it, if I have to go find it somewhere, or log on a website to be able to access it, I tend to skip it. Too bad there isn't some way to have postings made to the forum be available in an email format.

On a side note, I wish more portions of the MiGo website were available without having to log on as a member. I have applied for membership twice and I still have problems with a password login. Admittedly, had I dogged at it with more persistence I may have been able to eventually get everything straight, but I guess the difficulty discouraged me. LOL must be the pregnancy hormones or something.

I set up the MiGO forum page as my home page so it's the first thing I look at.   So far there have been over 4,400 posts to the new forums, we really are a mouthy bunch - especially umc who accounts for about a quarter of them :-)

I keep looking at the site and I have to admit.
Finally I understand it alittle more
once you are in there and you post on a discussion
you start getting emails telling you someone else posted
so finally I am getting some emails , I just miss alot since I dont

Hi Guys,

I finally got round to using the new site a few days ago. It is quite easy once you get familiar with it, just not as easy an option of having email flow into your inbox (and boy how they used to flow!). As Rusty said, use the remember feature (like geocaching.com) and life is good. The new site is worth it for all the extras that it has.

Come on Spring, this Winter weather is getting old. I did a few Winter caches but would rather be warm, also started a new job in January that digs seriously into my caching time!!! Oh well gotta earn a living.

Regards,

Braveheart (aka Steven).

Hey Puppylover we miss you over there.  If you get logged on and set it to remember you, you won't have to log on again every time you visit.  Also when you start a thread in a forum or post a reply you will get an email reminder with a clickable link whenever anyone replies to the same thread.  Trippy is also working on email notification for all new posts and that may soon be an option.  Everyone that isn't over there is missing out on a lot of fun.

Please, anyone ask for help if you are having trouble accessing the site.  We will be glad to get you going.

I’m in the same boat as Puppylover.  I just don’t read them over there.  I like the e-mail format.  As for the ‘remember me’ option… it only works if you don’t regularly ‘clean’ your computer.  Window Washer and other programs will wipe it out (unless you remember to put it on your saved list).

Hello to anybody still watching the Yahoo Group!
I just wanted to remind everyone that there are only 24hrs left to
vote in the MiGO election for 2 new steering committee members. The
polls will close at Midnight Friday. Go to www.mi-geocaching.org
and click on the "Voting Booth" link on the left hand side of the
page. All of the candidates will appreciate a great voter turnout!
Hope to see everyone at the Winter Social in Mt Pleasant Saturday,
Rusty...
PS: If any of you don't know about the new site go check it out.
The forums there are very lively with lots of Michigan specific
geocaching talk and a bit of BS thrown in for good measure ;-)

Hello All!

This note is to let all of you know that my beloved bride Barbara & I will be winging our way to the Sunshine State tommorrow. In fact, by the time some of you (West Coast) read this, we may even have landed! Yea!

This vacation will be our first pilgrimage back to where we were married (Lover's Key), and to see my mom; Jean (Big Yea!) We are also planning on Geocaching across the Everglades ('Gators be damned!) and then thru the keys to Key West. Looks like we're gonna go snorkling along the keys as well.

So my contact with cyberland will be quite spotty; something my wife has encouraged after this semester, lol! I'll be in touch later, with a tan, and a drink with one of those silly umbrellas!

Jamie

I might have what you are looking for, shoot me an email. I have a few bikes I
kept around for
just farting around, in addition to my urban, xc, and single speed.

Smitherington,
You are quite the holiday poet! As my family gathered
around the dinner table today, I read your two Holly
poems aloud . . . which led to further discussion
about William Shakespeare. Thank you for your
Shiawassee Overlook cache (where we got the Holly
poems). It was perfect for the Holiday season.
