Does anyone know the result of the final fixture involving Llanrhaeadr and
Llanfyllin ?
Thanks

Tonight Aberystwyth Reserves won the Spar Mid Wales League in a
final showdown match against their nearest challengers and close
rivals Penrhyncoch. The 3-1 win left Penrhyncoch wondering how they
managed to lose their grip on the championship after keeping pace
with tonights hosts throughout the season and with games in hand.
But a fourth minute injury goal by Newtown Reserves on Tuesday
night, which resulted in a 3-3 scoreline with Penrhyncoch set up a
tense match tonight. In front of a good sized crowd and with a
television crew recording various events in Park Avenue, Aberystwyth
Reserves were able to turn round a poor first half performance which
saw them go in at the interval 1-0 down after a clever headed goal
by Penrhyncoch. A disputed offside decision, where the assistant
referee half-raised his flag only to bring it back down again,
helped Aberystwyth Reserves level matters after the Penrhyncoch
defence stopped expecting the referee to blow his whistle. As the
reigning championship side pushed up looking for the win, two quick
breaks down the right wing ended up the ball sneaking in just inside
the keepers far post. A fair result in the end and completed a very
good season for the club.
Subject to a ground inspection next week, Penrhyncoch will be
playing in the Cymru Alliance next season. A link up with
Aberystwyth Town football club next season has still to be confirmed.
I would tell you the goal scorers, but left that bit of paper in the
referee's changing room.
A couple of (poor) pictures from the presentation will be available
in the group shortly.
