High-flying Knighton Town kept a tight grip of the title race in the
Mike Lloyd Rhayader Builders Mid Wales League (south) after sharing
a 1-1 draw with close rivals Newbridge.

With both sides still unbeaten, it was Newbridge who made a flying
start with a second minute opener from Ben Jones - but Lee Sutton's
80th minute strike earned parity for the leaders.

Second placed Builth Wells bounced back with a 3-1 win at Penybont
despite having keeper Jamie Hope sent off for handling outside the
box. Sub Anthony Bridgeman netted twice for Builth, Michael Ward
getting the other.
