Rhayader Town maintained their Spar Mid Wales League revival with a
fine 2-1 success at fourth placed Llanrhaeadr.
Mark Davies gave the Weirglodd men the lead and Brian Keddle added a
second from the penalty spot before the interval.
The hosts revived their cause soon after the break through Owain
English but their efforts failed to bring any more reward as they
lost further ground on the leaders.
Aberystwyth Reserves preserved their eight-point lead at the top
with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Kerry.
Huw Bonner and Llyr Hughes were on the mark for the leaders with
Colin Williams keeping the visitors in the hunt.
Andrew Carree bagged a hat-trick as Penrhyncoch stayed in contention
with a convincing 4-1 success at strugglers Berriew who responded
through Ed Baldwin.
Chris Jones fired a brace as third placed Presteigne stayed in touch
after defeating Newtown Reserves 5-3, Tony Richards, Mark Mortlock
and Dave Beaumont also on target.
Llanfyllin won 3-1 at Caersws Reserves while lowly Waterloo Rovers
slipped to a 3-0 reverse at Aberystwyth University who took the
spoils through John Pritchard (2) and Ed Jackson.
Craig Davies earned Carno a 2-2 draw with Llanidloes Town, Lyn Owen
having got their first goal before missing a twice-taken penalty.
The Daffs battled back through Matthew Savage and a Nick Jones spot-
kick before Davies rescued a point for the hosts.
